Nathaniel Ogedegbe grew up in Lagos where he learned the love of soccer. As a youth, he played increasingly competitive games in the neighborhood and then attended Saint Finbarr’s College Lagos (where they won the Principal Cup). He also played for the Lagos State Academicals, the Flying Eagles, and was invited to the National Team in during the Cup of Nations. He was recruited by a US coach and received a 4 year football scholarship to attend university in the US where his skill was recognized and rewarded when he was selected as an All American and one of the 10 Most Valuable Players in 1984. He founded Flawless Soccer in 1993 where he has developed players who went on to higher levels of play. Professionally, he has spent his career as a civil engineer in public (local, city, county and state) and private sector organizations managing roadway, traffic and bridge design and construction and environmental projects.
He is now working to give back to the community where he honed his football skills in Lagos Nigeria. The inaugural Youth Football Competition was held at the Ajegunle Navy Barracks in early January 2024. Plans are in motion for another competition later this year.
